John’s discussion regarding greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting is very timely for our members as the future for water stressed regions like Georgia lies in managing water more efficiently.
Marci Reed, Executive Director of AIA Georgia
For more than 20 years, Georgia, Alabama and Florida have been disputing what is known as the Tri-State Water Wars.Water supply and allocations relating to Atlanta’s water life lines lie at the heart of this battle. In addition to supply issues, Georgia will require nearly $100 million in water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades over the next 20 years. Thus, efficient water resource management practices within Commercial and Residential Buildings can significantly reduce pressures on water and the services it provides
