THE GREYTER HOME™ RECEIVES NSF 350 CERTIFICATION

Toronto, ON (March 7th, 2019) – Greyter Water Systems Inc., creator of the Greyter HOME™, announced today its NSF/ANSI 350 Class R certification, making it the only compact, cost-effective and easy-to-install residential greywater reuse system to hold this designation.

The Greyter HOME™ is a revolutionary and award-winning appliance that can help reduce indoor water consumption by as much as 25 percent in a family home. This first-of-its-kind fully automated system captures water from showers and bathtubs, treats it to a near-potable quality and provides clear, odor-free water to meet a home’s toilet flushing demands. It is the single greatest water conservation solution for new home construction and was awarded “Best Green Building Product” at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) 2017 by the National Association of Home Builders.

“It makes absolutely no sense to flush toilets with drinking water,” said John Bell, co-Founder and V.P. Business Development of Greyter Water Systems. “Now, with the certified Greyter HOME™, you don’t have to”, he continued.

The system was designed in collaboration with several top US and Canadian home builders to meet the needs of growing communities, while providing homeowners with a reliable, long-term water-saving solution. Many builders and municipalities recognize the benefits of residential water recycling to conserve regional water supplies and create water-efficient communities, especially in areas where growth is constrained by limited water resources. The Greyter HOME™ plays an important part in helping implement long-term, sustainable water management strategies while helping homeowners save money on water and sewer costs.

“We are thrilled that the Greyter HOME™ now holds the NSF Class R Certification, as NSF is one of the most established and trusted standards and certifications for water quality in the industry,” said Mark Sales, CEO and Co-Founder of Greyter Water Systems. “Finally builders of new homes and municipalities can achieve significant water conservation targets with an affordable, compact, and easy-to-install appliance”, continued Mr. Sales.

The NSF/ANSI 350 standard establishes material, design, construction and performance requirements for onsite residential and commercial water reuse treatment systems. They also set water quality requirements for the reduction of chemical and microbiological contaminants for non-potable water use. During it’s 6-month testing period, the Greyter HOME™ was dosed daily with a greywater cocktail containing raw wastewater, secondary effluent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lactic acid, toothpaste, bath cleaner and test dust, and delivered nearly 30 gallons of processed water per day. The Greyter HOME™ did not require any regular user maintenance during the testing period and maintained all criteria for NSF’s stringent water quality requirements.

Greyter believes that reused water is smart water and the company’s mission is to work hand-in-hand with builders, developers, engineers and architects along with municipal officials by providing solutions that assist in the creation of water efficient communities.
