The Colorado Water Plan set a measurable objective to achieve 400,000 acre feet of municipal and industrial water conservation by 2050. We will reexamine what this goal entails and how it can be tracked. Municipalities have a
variety of water conservation tools being implemented today including tap fee credits, tiered water rates, and restrictions. Along with conservation plans, strong messaging, and developments in technology; will these things suffice to meet the goal?
