Greyter Water Systems is Selected for Mountain Equipment Co-op’s North York Store
Greyter Water Systems solution was selected by the Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) to reduce potable water consumption at its second store in the Greater Toronto Area. MEC’s 44,000-square-foot store in North York was designed by SMV Architects and was professional engineered by Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd. and Pageau Morel et Associés Inc. The construction manager is Broccolini Construction Inc. and numerous sub-contractors are contributing to the construction including Mapleridge Mechanical.
The Greyter System will collect and treat storm and rainwater so that it can be used for flushing the facilities toilets. “MEC has been a leader with respect to low impact development practices for more than a decade,” said Greyter’s CEO, Mark Sales. “This new location is another example of MEC’s commitment to designing buildings that manage water efficiently”, he continued.
