The Sky is no longer the limit – Greyter’s newly created Control Station is capable of delivering to the floors of the tallest buildings
April 29th, 2015 – Greyter is proud to announce the newly created Greyter Control Station (C&CS).
The line of pumps Greyter uses in its pump stations are extremely effective, reliable and efficient. However, being that they are limited to a maximum of 85psi and 214 GPM, they are a perfect fit for smaller buildings that are traditionally 8-10 stories or less (rec centers, schools, firehalls, small apartments etc.). What about taller buildings?
There has been a lot of activity in metropolitan cities around the world above the 8-10 story threshold. In many of these cities, the main focus is storm water management and reuse. The new Greyter C&CS Station was designed to wrap around any third party pump package providing all of the integration, control and disinfection features of our other systems in a solution that meets the needs of high-rises and hi flow applications. In the standard system, any pump up to 150 psi can be used to perform exactly like Greyter’s other systems. With only a few optional high pressure modifications, they can also be used on pumps with higher pressures capable of delivering to the highest floors of even 60 story buildings – the sky is no longer the limit!
“We have quoted this system on multiple commercial buildings projects where the water from storm retention tanks in large condos is to be used for feeding cooling towers, flushing toilets and irrigating green roofs”, said Chris Thompson, CTO of Greyter Water Systems. “Many of the engineers we are working with like that our out-of-the-box system arrives ready to be plugged in, so they can use the pump systems they have come to trust for pressure boosting of the potable water system in the same buildings,” he continued.
The company is also developing a Commercial Buildings System that will include a proprietary filtration innovation that will service customers and regions that call for a near potable quality of water for onsite water reuse. Furthermore, Greyter will be revealing the highly anticipated Greyter HOME product in June.
