Greyter Water Systems Selected for Oakville’s new Satellite Operations Depot and Patrol Yard Facility
Construction of the Depot and Patrol Yard at 3250 Neyagawa Road is near completion and consists of a Fire hall, Operations depot, and Sand & Salt building valued at over $11 million. The facility is targeting LEED Silver Certification. “The greywater system from Greyter contributed significantly to the project’s LEED credit score by reducing the amount of potable water used to transport sewage by over 60%. And by re-using the shower drainage water for flushing toilets and urinals, we anticipate saving more than 65,000 L of fresh water annually,” said David McCullough of IBI Group. In addition to the LEED credits, water savings help reduce the Owner’s operating costs. “We were delighted to have been selected to help reduce the water and operating costs consumed by this new facility,” said Mark Sales, CEO of Greyter Water Systems.
“The Greyter Team enjoyed working with IBI Group in designing, selecting, and specifying the proper system to help the Owner progress towards their sustainability goals,” said Mark Sales, CEO of Greyter Water Systems.
