Proctor’s Landing Senior Living Community in Ohio Selects Greyter Water Systems

A Greyter Water Systems’ solution was selected by Proctor’s Landing to treat greywater so that it can be reused to meet the entire toilet flushing needs of this exciting new senior living community in Proctorville, Ohio.  The 56-unit, mid-rise building was developed by PIRHL Developers, LLC to provide residency for independent seniors 55 years and older.  Proctor’s Landing is located in rural southern Ohio where water and sewer utility costs are often one of the great challenges preventing new development. In order to address this challenge, the development team at PIRHL contacted Greyter Water Systems. “Greyter became a part of our development team, working with our architect, contractor and engineer, making the integration of this new system as easy as possible and we were able to leverage Greyter’s expertise to propose this development in order to secure financing to build Proctor’s Landing,” said David Burg, Principal at PIRHL. “By capturing greywater from tubs and showers to recycle for toilet flushing, Proctor’s Landing will see a significant costs savings in water and sewer fees and is reducing discharge into the sanitary system,” continued Mr. Burg. “We are very excited that the Greyter Water Systems’ solution was selected and expect to help contribute to the reduction of more than 200,000 gallons of greywater from being sent to the sanitary sewer each year”, said Mark Sales, CEO of Greyter Water Systems. The Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization will own and manage the development. Proctor’s Landing was designed by RDL Architects and professionally engineered by Bluestreak Consulting. A number of contractors contributed to the construction of the project including PIRHL Contractors, LLC and Henicle’s Plumbing Inc.
