Greyter’s Water Reuse Solution Selected by Durward E. Grubbs, Jr. Environmental Center in Virginia

Greyter Water Systems water reuse solution was selected as part of the Durward E. Grubbs, Jr. Environmental Center in Virginia. The center was built on the campus of the H. L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility (AWRF), and will be the home of a new state-of-the-art water quality laboratory that will set out to meet the latest wastewater treatment standards. The center will provide the necessary space for administrative and laboratory staff, as well as lab equipment.

The Mooney AWRF began its operation more than 3 decades ago. Although there have been two major upgrades to capacity, the laboratory and administrative offices had not expanded until now. The construction of the new building provided workspace for these to important departments but also created an opportunity to designate a portion of the new site for visitors to learn more about the importance of water and the services that PWCSA provides to the Prince William County residents. With water conservation and savings in mind, the Greyter Water System was selected to treat water so that it could be reused to provide non-potable water for toilet-flushing.  “We were very happy to have been selected to help reduce the water consumed at the new center,” said Mark Sales, CEO of Greyter Water Systems.
