Save money, save energy & reduce greenhouse gas emissions
The Power-Pipe® by Renewability Energy is a proven, practical, affordable technology that
dramatically reduces energy use and water heating costs in a wide
variety of applications:
- Single Family Homes
- Multi-Unit Residential Buildings
- Commercial Buildings
- Institutional Buildings
- Institutional Buildings
- Industrial Buildings
Technically known as a falling film heat exchanger, the Power-Pipe is
based on a fundamental physical principal called the falling film
effect. Water falling down a vertical drain stack does not run down the
middle
of the stack, but instead clings to its inside wall. This creates a thin
"falling film" from which the all-copper nergy.
The Power-Pipe System is superior to other falling film heat exchangers
as well as to other types of heat exchangers because of its
patent-pending design consists of multiple coils of copper tube,
wrapped together around a central copper drainpipe.
Copper is used
because of its efficiency as a heat conductor. As a result, the
Power-Pipe has a high heat transfer rate on a surface area basis.
A typical 60-inch Power-Pipe can raise the tempeature of incoming cold
water from 10°C (50°F) to as much as 24°C (75°F), under equal flow
conditions. When this water is then directed to the water heating system
for further heating, that system is not required to use as much energy
as it would without a Power-Pipe installed.
By installing a Power-Pipe, homeowners can expect to save up to 40% on
their overall water heating costs. Industrial customers and commercial
enterprises can save up to 70%.
The Power-Pipe's performance has been verified by Natural Resources
Canada, the University of Waterloo, as well as other American and
Canadian agencies and power companies, in independent third-party
testing. In diverse applications, the Power-Pipe is a proven way to save
energy and money and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the
long service life of the system.
Power-Pipe DWHR Systems are manufactured using quality materials, yet,
the initial investment in a Power-Pipe System is modest. Because of this
advantage and because of the important savings on energy costs the
system generates, institutions can expect an excellent return on
investment.
Power-Pipe Systems are simple to specify and easy to install. In
addition, they are backed by full technical support. This free support
includes energy savings studies, feasibility analyses, system design
consultations, CAD drawing elements, and installation support.
